Roger E. Mosley, ‘Magnum, P.I.’ actor, dies at 83 after a car crash: Reports

(CNN)Actor Roger E. Mosley most well-known for his portrayal of helicopter pilot Theodore “TC” Calvin on the popular 1980s television series “Magnum, P.I.,” passed away on Sunday his daughter announced. He was 83.
Mosley passed away surrounded by his family members after being injured in a crash with a car last week that left him with paralysis from the shoulders and showed him in a critical condition, his daughter Ch-a Mosley announced on Facebook. There was no further information about the crash was released.

“We will never be able to grieve such an incredible man. He would resent any tears made in his name. It’s time to celebrate his legacy for us all.” his daughter told me as she announced the passing of her father. “I love you daddy. You also loved me. I am a heavy heart, but I’m resilient. I will take care of mama, your love of nearly 60 years. You taught me well, and she’s well taken care of. Take your time and relax.”

Mosley was a part of around 150 shows of “Magnum, P.I.” along with Tom Selleck in the crime-adventure series that aired for eight seasons between 1980 to 1988. Mosley also appeared in a reboot of the popular show, in the form of a character named John Booky, according to his IMDb page.

Alongside “Magnum, P.I.,” the Los Angeles native played the part in the role of Coach Ricketts in the 1990s sitcom “Hangin’ with Mr Cooper.”

He was also on “Sanford and Son,” Love Boat,” Kojak,” “The Rockford Files,” Starsky and Hutch” and many other TV shows.
