Maren Larae Morris has been dubbed an American musician and singer. While her roots are in the country genre, her music incorporates elements from music from pop to R&B as well as hip-hop. The native of Arlington, Texas, Morris loved singing as a young kid.
Morris began performing on stage during her preteen years and performed on tour throughout Texas. In her teens and into her twenties, the singer released her first three albums through private label labels.
She moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a career as a country musician in the same time frame. Morris signed a contract for publishing as well as a record deal after the success of her streaming project her self-titled EP from 2015.
