One month following the time that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were married in a private Las Vegas chapel wedding, the famous couple walked to the aisle once more with family members, friends, and other A-listers to enjoy a more lavish wedding in Georgia A person who is close to the couple, but not allowed to speak publicly spoke to The Associated Press on Sunday.
USA TODAY has been in contact with the couple’s representatives to inquire about details.
The wedding ceremony was held on Saturday at the home of Affleck in Savannah, Georgia, with all their children present at the wedding according to People magazine.
Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Matt Damon and his wife Luciana, filmmaker Kevin Smith and his wife Jennifer as well as the actor Jason Mewes and his wife Jordan Monsanto were also in attendance according to People.
The guests wore the dress code of all white. “This is as formal as I’ve been dressed since maybe my First Communion when I was 7,” Smith tweeted in a tweet, along with the photo of guests.

Their first encounter was while filming the romance comedy “Gigli,” while Lopez was still in the midst of marriage to her husband of two years choreographer Cris Judd. The film was a failure on the opening weekend, there were sparks among Lopez as well as Affleck. The couple came out about their relationship just after the divorce of Lopez from Judd.
“Bennifer” took pop culture to the forefront in the early decade of the aughts. It was the Hollywood power couple that was engaged in November 2002, however, the marriage didn’t end happily forever. Lopez and Affleck ended their relationship in 2004 and blamed the end of their relationship on the media’s attention.
They came to an agreement in January of last year, just after Lopez’s breakup with former baseball player Alex Rodriguez in April 2021 The couple made Instagram real in the summer of 2021 after Lopez posted a picture that showed her kissing Affleck as she celebrated her birthday. The video included Lopez looking at the diamond and saying, “You’re perfect.” Affleck proposed to her with the ring, which had two diamonds smaller on each side of a massive green diamond that was in the middle, distinct from the pink diamond which he proposed to her for the first time around 20 years ago.
In the month of July, the couple was married late in the night on the 16th of July at The A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lopez confirmed the following day On the JLo fan newsletter that they were indeed married and she also shared photos along with videos and information from the wedding ceremony. “We did it,” she wrote. “Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.”
Court records revealed that Lopez 52, 52, and Affleck 49, both of whom were married, obtained an official marriage certificate that same date at Clark County, Nevada, The Associated Press reported. TMZ was the first to publish the story. The filing revealed plans for Lopez to adopt the name, Jennifer Affleck.
“Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world,” Lopez continued. “Behind us two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday — all of us wanting the same thing — for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.”
Lopez states that the couple “barely made” it to the chapel for their wedding by midnight, but “graciously” stayed open late and allowed the couple to “take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, evidently once used by the king himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself to show, that cost extra and he was in bed).”
Although the wedding was not the extravagant, lavish ceremony people be expecting from Bennifer Lopez declared it to be “the best possible wedding we could have imagined.”
“They were right when they said, ‘all you need is love,'” Lopez said in her letter. “We are so grateful to have that in abundance, a new wonderful family of five amazing children and a life that we have never had more reason to look forward to. … Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things — and worth waiting for.”
The singer sighed “with love, Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.”
